Every single time I giggle like a child. Coin showers. It just makes me laugh. I am juvenile…yes I know.
We went back in with a plan…of killing Opulence. The guys had done the first bosses on Wednesday and had done some normals as well when it got too much to handle.
We messed up the rooms a couple of times with people dying early due to “stupidity”, healers walking away from their pc’s instead of accepting resses and people dropping their burning gold poop in melee. But we seemed to just know it better I think. I actually survived on the kill which is about as 50/50 chance these days 🙂

We did manage to kill her/it/him though after about the 3rd attempt. As you can see most of us were alive and communication was good. It worked well and even the adds were not too much trouble this time. Extra mass entanglement helps I think, but it never seems to last long enough 🙂
We headed to council next. What a messed up fight – I note I will likely be saying this about all fights – there seems to be so much to focus on everything else but attacking the main boss in these BoD fights. They are so busy.
I didn’t think this would be as hard as it was simply because of one extra mechanic by a frog, but it lifts the level enough to be annoying when it is botched. The main issue of everyone getting centrally underneath Paku but fast enough to not be the farthest away at any given point except for someone else….my god….just horrific. There must be an easier way.

Our best attempt was one of our first, we killed Gonk and had Kimbal at 2%, so we just had 2 more aspects to go. I am not sure why we kept going worse. That is a habit our guild has and I am very curious about the psychology behind it if I am honest. One of the other super annoying habits of my wonderfully stubborn guild mates is the need to change what we are doing after 1 attempt, just give it a couple of attempts to let people settle into the fight before going all balls to walls on changes, it just makes it confusing.
We also had comments about how much harder healing was without Nibblepie holding up the team 🙂 I am not sure I am meant to say anything but you know I couldn’t help it. But like Nibblepie when Ben isn’t around casts that we don’t even know exist start going off; I miss the days where Ben would say when he interrupted things. Of course none of that is important when you have DPS doing 40k on trash mobs (looking at you Jon, Oui, Ben and Simon) and making everyone else feel so insufficient as players. I have no idea how Chris is feeling with the news his spec is the lowest on the charts for the last 2 weeks, maybe time to go back to his warrior?
We gave up after a few shots and then went back into normal mode and smashed this boss in the face and Rastakan as well 🙂 For my efforts I was rewarded with something of immense joy.

I know a lot of the people I follow are already in mythic level and have their AOTC achievements, but what about the rest of us plebs – where are you sitting at?
You’re lovely.
Mythic.. ha, I know I will never be raiding that again my reaction times are’nt what they used to be. XD But yea, these HC’s are still quite challenging. We finally broke through Blockade this past week and are extending our lockout to get Jaina down this week coming (fingers crossed).
For the Council we stack up under Pa’ku’s head if the frog swirl forms under us we move then restack, if the tiger pounces the marked ones move to the back of Pa’ku and spread a little (this works for Akunda’s lightning as well), if raptors spawn we cc and move out as soon as Pa’ku finishes. Rinse repeat till done.
It is a crazy busy fight indeed. Good luck whe you face them next and gratz on Oppulence! 🙂
