Shared Topic 41: Why do you play your faction?

What a question to ask of us in this overly sensitive time 🙂  Z and Cinder coming up with the goods this time.

Why do you play your faction?

Are you a die-hard Hordie or did you join the Alliance and never looked back, or are you a swinger?

We’d love to know what it is that made you pick the faction you did, and what keeps you there. For those of you who play both factions if you can’t pick your favourite,  tell us what’s special for each side!

We went alliance when we started playing because our friend who got us hooked (Thanks Shane for the 13 year addiction) was alliance. So if we wanted to play with him we had no choice.

Drew wanted to be a Tauren from day 1 though, so he was fighting against his inner horde I think.  I went human because I had no idea what I was doing and didn’t think I would ever actually stick to that first mage character.  She ended up being my main until the end of Legion when I switched to my Druid.    I make no complaints about those early days being alliance because Sian and Michael would not be friends now had we not been in the same guild, Koli and Dreddly would not be friends now had we not started the alliance guild with Shane and we wouldn’t have met Ben and Oui (via Sian and Michael).  All those friendships mean more to me than any faction possibly could.

I love playing horde. I love the stories and the honour, however my biggest beef ( no pun intended) is that nothing is nice to look at everything is red and spiky and harsh, which seems against some of the race lore. But meh you do what you do.

I would likely be alliance if I was the type to really want to be one faction or the other because I would have only Draenai characters and I would be an even bigger Jaina fangirl than I am now. Ultimately I will likely stay horde because I just don’t want to move toons away from the guild I am in now. I love this guild so much, the people are awesome and my friends are here.

LOKTAR O’GAR!
