Our temple is not deep in the underground of London. No, ours is in the dark heart of Nazmir.
A place where we were getting our butts handed to us in a devastating manner. Disheartening as well.

I spent all morning looking up strats, watching videos and reading about the melee heavy strats people have employed to handle it. It made no difference, the biggest saviour of our attempts was, “How about we just turn the mobs around so we can see what we are doing?” Thanks Laurie, because we are bunch of nublets and didn’t think of that sooner.
Amazingly our previous best attempts were in the 30% range, 32% to be exact. The beam, whilst we were dealing with the mind visions, would knock out the raid before we had a chance to manage anything else. It was insta-wipe.
But then on our Friday night raid, with great suggestions and discussion – like adults. We smashed the Mythrax in the gnarly faceless bits, of course this was after we managed to work out which side of him we were supposed to be on…only a slight problem for some of the raid, including myself. <facepalm> Thankfully it was all streamed and therefor immortalised for ever!
It felt so good. I was definitely not prepared to actually kill him because…well we were just not getting him to a point of death. Maybe a couple of wingy arm things hanging off only, possible loss of eye sight or some open wounds but not death. I am not sure many others were either because none of us had read or watched anything about G’huun.
Of course in addition to not knowing our left from right we also don’t know when pulling trash that we are actually pulling the boss. Nelly went AFK for two seconds and comes back with “Oh, why are we killing the boss?”, “We aren’t, just clearing trash!”, “….<facepalm> Nope this is the boss.” HAHAHAHAHA
I was on ball duty with Michael, Nathan and Sue, and Moryrt was with Nelly, Kratoz and…someone else…I can’t remember so please forgive me. I think we did ok with the balls and after we got the idea we managed to repeatedly get to the second and third phases with no one dead only after about 4 attempts. Nathan managed to get most of the way down the tunnel on one go, Michael forgot to heal us on the first one and just ran of twirling his panda skirts, Sue and myself were just like extras to their awesomeness 🙂
By the end of the night, I honestly thought we had him:
7%. The shocks were falling ceiling and the blinding thing. I suspect we may have had him down if not for those two little messy parts. I believe we are going to extend for the next raid so we can just get this monkey down.
It would allow us to go back and smash Heroic Taloc in the face and beat our “play” attempt the other week with Nelly tanking:
Pretty happy with the run tonight, we did better every single time and that is just testament to the guild. They put in the effort, pay attention and learn from their mistakes. With both Mythrax and this one I feel like I don’t do any DPS because you just spend so much time running around like a headless chicken – it is worth it!
Can’t wait to get this bugger down, then I might give LFR a crack….when I am in a really good mood 🙂
I’d watched a G’huun vid beforehand. Speak for yourself!
So you knew we were killing the boss?!! Lol
It was gratifying to get Mythrax down and I think we can do G’huun. I’d completely forgotten about the fear in the last phase.
Hahahaha not me – when nelly said this is the boss i was like ohhhhhhhhhhhh is it?
I couldn’t stop laughing!! It was hilarious, she went AFK thinking we would wait for a boss discussion and came back to hell. Classic.
