Expeditions of fun!

OMG! I hadn’t thought they would be as much fun. I think it depends on who you do them with though, I could see these being horrible with PUGS.

Our first one was Whispering Reef and Pracey was trying to explain everything to us whilst ensuring we didn’t fail. We did cream the alliance AI in that one.

The next one was The Rotting Mire and this was a very close call. The numbers don’t reflect it, but at one point the alliance were about 600 infront of us because we couldn’t find anything to kill/collect, until we happened upon three Surok camps with so many fat bags of Azerite we claimed the victory.

The next was the Verdant Wilds. Again we had loads of space and spent a fair amount of time killing the alliance which I think helped to  our victory. We did get better as we went along.

I did keep running off to mine and collect things whilst Moryty and Pracey killed mobs which was not entirely helpful (I would be that bad PUG). I was so easily distracted by the shinies!  We had a few really close matches which I thought we would definitely lose but we found stashes of azerite just at the right times.

The Whispering reef had our closest match but we still managed to come out on top!

According to conversations you should do the 7 per week you need to cap the azerite, however you don’t really need to do more. They are meant to be a side to the main quests/stories and give you something different to do.

We did do all 7 though and had a good laugh at the same time. I would like to see these scale with group size so you can have 3-6 people running around and the mobs just have more HP or require more effort.

I really enjoyed them and I doubt I would ever actually do a PVP version, the AI was enough for me, but I think I would be happy doing more than 7 a week if people needed a third wheel.

Tips:

  • Make sure you grab the shovel if you see one!
  • Eat all the things
  • Go for the rare mobs.
