Topic 38: How do you level in Battle for Azeroth?

Z and Cinder bring us another interesting topic this week which you can find here.

Do you go about things your own way, taking quests as they come? Do you focus on just the main storyline? Do you go as fast as you can to get to maximum level, story be damned? Or are you the type of person who needs to clear every single quest from the map? Horde first, or Alliance? And in particular, have you changed anything about the way you level in Battle for Azeroth? If so, why?

I love levelling. Part of what I love about the game is the quests. The stories, the jokes in the quest text.  It makes it enjoyable for me and I could, if I am being truly honest, just spend the rest of my days doing levelling quests.  I don’t like questing with no reward – just doing it for money or rep. That is boring as heck.  I do wonder if a never ending levelling experience would really be that great.  Do I enjoy it because it does end?

Since BC, Moryrt and I have levelled together.  We take leave, we spend every minute online levelling and doing things together. It makes killing easier and ensures faster completion (in most cases) of farming quests.  I like to read everything the first time round so I can ignore them on the next toon and just whizz through.  I am a fast reader though and it can seem like i am not reading the text at the time.  Thank god the map has little blue circles for where you need to be or I might kill some of the people I have levelled with over the years who just get the quest and immediately ask what they need to do!  LOL

Since flying became tied to the loremaster and exploration achievements we don’t leave a zone until we have those complete and we ignore any other side quests until  we see that golden achievement flare.  At max level we come back for the extra cash and do side quests etc. It is simple but effective and ensures we are getting through the Pathfinder things.

I always levelled my mage first, this has been the very first xpac I haven’t. I levelled my druid first and I feel amazingly guilty about it.  I have started my mage but time factors will mean she takes a while to get done I think.  I had hoped to spend my weeks leave doing that but other things have kept me out of the game more than in.  You could say I am super annoyed about that in general.

Voila max level ding, we dance then start the long slog to heroics, gearing, raiding, world quests and whatever else Blizzard has changed about the game 🙂
