Are you a die-hard Hordie or did you join the Alliance and never looked back, or are you a swinger?
We’d love to know what it is that made you pick the faction you did, and what keeps you there. For those of you who play both factions if you can’t pick your favourite, tell us what’s special for each side!
We went alliance when we started playing because our friend who got us hooked (Thanks Shane for the 13 year addiction) was alliance. So if we wanted to play with him we had no choice.
Drew wanted to be a Tauren from day 1 though, so he was fighting against his inner horde I think. I went human because I had no idea what I was doing and didn’t think I would ever actually stick to that first mage character. She ended up being my main until the end of Legion when I switched to my Druid. I make no complaints about those early days being alliance because Sian and Michael would not be friends now had we not been in the same guild, Koli and Dreddly would not be friends now had we not started the alliance guild with Shane and we wouldn’t have met Ben and Oui (via Sian and Michael). All those friendships mean more to me than any faction possibly could.
I love playing horde. I love the stories and the honour, however my biggest beef ( no pun intended) is that nothing is nice to look at everything is red and spiky and harsh, which seems against some of the race lore. But meh you do what you do.
I would likely be alliance if I was the type to really want to be one faction or the other because I would have only Draenai characters and I would be an even bigger Jaina fangirl than I am now. Ultimately I will likely stay horde because I just don’t want to move toons away from the guild I am in now. I love this guild so much, the people are awesome and my friends are here.
A long, long, time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, three friends created little toons on a server with the intention of just running around together and eventually levelling. The server was Durotan and was our home before the Galactic Oceanic Server nexus was opened. The toons were levelled to 27 and then left there, forgotten, unloved and unplayed as our main toons moved to new homes, new guilds and new adventures.
Today we logged into them, they are still in a guild together with no one else there of course 🙂 We had 13 gold between us! I am playing a holy priest, hubby a frost mage and Cay a prot warrior. We created them with the intent to always just be chasing DPS toons for 5 man runs.
We got them to level 32 today just by running some dungeons, we also got a few guild achievements and are 13% through the guild level. We shall see how far we get them.
It was fun to be running on them again, it has been a very very long time and in fact those toons are what gave us the idea to start our first guild up all those years ago – in a round about kind of way!
We may be raiding tonight, so I may post again, but I was so excited about these toons I just had to put something up here now. I just wish I had gotten a photo of the three of us.
After negelcting my shammy so long ago in Valiance keep, I cannot really remember when I seriously played her last. Recently though, hubby has decided he wanted to level his pally who was only 5 levels below my shammy. So he got his pally to 70 and i moved my shammy horde to be with him and we set off on adventure.
I was planning on going resto so we were a duo for dungeons, however, I had absolutely no gear whatsoever for healing, I will try and get some together one i get to 80, I am enhancement in the meantime. Anyone that has played an enhance shammy for a while will know we used to be based on strength as a stat, and it changed to agility in wrath (i think – please correct me). Anyway I would say 50% of my gear was old strength gear 🙂 Just to give you an idea of the last time I played her.
I have been having fun just running dungeons with the hubby and doing nothing aside from levelling and just enjoying the game 😀
She is currently 78 and maybe my the end of this easter break she will be 80 🙂
