It was a great birthday present if you ask me 🙂
Drew decided to stay home with me instead of go to karate and because we had massive dinner plans on the weekend I convinced him we should stay home instead of going out. We did raid, which was also an awesome birthday idea and to top it off we killed coven, the last missing boss in my set.
Now to start on mythic…LOL NOT!
I also got a birthday cake during the raid which was super nice of Michael. It was very delicious. Ben wanted to be in the picture 🙂
We had friends joining us from different guilds again and it was really nice to be clearing content. I told the team we had to kill coven as my bday present, maybe that gave them the extra boost to get it done. LOL because yeah – I am simply that important!
It was pretty funny actually we had a couple of deaths towards the end and Nelly was “ehh just wipe it up guys” and (I have no idea who) someone said “but they are almost dead you sure you want to wipe?”. Poor Nelly was so focused on bars and green swishes with little pink flowers she didn’t realise how close we were to killing it.
I also like to say that I save Shaetano’s life by realising they were on the fire boss. I was wondering how they managed to get her instead of Brian so was sort of just staring at the flames from across the room until my brain finally clicked that I needed to go and help! ahahah I think I even said on voice “hrmm, why do you have the fire one?” then proceeded to stand there for a little longer doing nothing. It was pretty stupid of me. Swapping went beautifully and all was well. We survived and I got my boss kill set.
It made me wonder what else I could clear on my druid for the sets. Far too many imho.
So I might start working on my mage instead 🙂 I have to finish Heroic Trial of the crusader – weirdly I am sure I have done so many times, Sunwell and Siege of Org in heroic – then all of the below. Then by the time BfA comes out I can start on the legion dungeons. Some of the below I can get completed in one week I think. Except the LFR’s right – no way to go back and do them now sadly.
It is my birthday today.
Another year older and another year addicted to my favourite game.
I wish there was something you could do in game on your birthday which gave you a random mount or pet based on the ones missing from your collection. Like a spin the wheel or once off mini boss dungeon.
I have plans this weekend to have dinner with some of the best people I have ever known at such a hyped up restaurant (Mjolner) I am losing my mind in excitement.
It is also Drew’s birthday in 7 days so the dinner is for both of us to celebrate! I plan on taking photos but I also plan on drinking so it may not happen.
I have one of my presents already which is a kickstarter for one of my favourite books Green Rider. I am so excited and happy. The second present is apparently a million times better but is late for arrival. I have no idea what it is but Drew says it is amazing.
I hope you all have a fantastic day I know I will be just chilling out 🙂
Essentially I have had to step down from raiding with the guild.
To give you an idea why, I have no free weekends between now and July, I have something on every single weekend – including a trip to Adelaide, Wodonga and Tasmania!! I have a few concerts on and then our yearly cluster of anniversary/birthdays as well. It is crazy. Especially when in between we have some gardening and house sorting to do so we can put the place on the market – which we are trying to get done at the moment as well. It has been that solid since the middle of February.
You think I am kidding, but I am not here is the list of my weekends:)
- 11th April – Hubby is on call so I am doing some photography shoots possibly – weather permitting
- 18th April – going to a friends place for dinner and spending the night
- 25th April – friends coming to our place and spending the night
- 2nd May (my bday) – meeting friends in the city to help run his show both days possibly (photography maybe)
- 8th May – Backstreet boys concert, Hubby’s bday the next day
- 16th May – Adelaide
- 23rd May – Eurovision Party
- 30 May – Ice hockey
- 6th June – Hubby has lodge
- 13th June – Glenn miller Orchestra for M-I-L bday present (going to Wodonga to pick her up and take her home)
- 20th June – Tasmania
- 27th June – free at this stage
Top top it all off I have Karate every Tuesday and Wednesday nights now. Funnily enough the raiding on Wednesday worked quite well as my karate finishes at 8.30 and is only 20 minutes away so I generally get home just in time to jump online for raid – if not about 10 minutes late.
So trying to raid Mon/Wed/Thur from 9-11pm and having to be out of the house at 5.30am every morning at the moment is pretty hard. Last time I let myself get too run down I had shingles for 2 weeks so I want to really avoid that. Whilst I can generally be around for raid, I don’t have time or focus to be online for all the other things you need to be around for like doing daily quests, garrisons, farming crystals or doing Challenge modes etc. I just don’t have the ability to be a great addition to the team.
I need more time to practice playing arcane, I need more time to make money so I can make all the changes I want to make to my gear, I need more time. I just don’t have time. I don’t have plans to stop playing entirely and I may join in on the casual raids, but at the moment I can’t commit to main team raiding. Just ask the hubby about the tears when I made that decision. I cried for about 3 days whenever I looked at my computer or the login screen.
I am not sure how often this will be updated now, but I will do it as often as I have anything of interest to blog about
We have another birthday today!!
My gorgeous, wonderful, smart, funny, sexy, patient, caring and loyal husband to be exact.
This is just a quick post to thank him for all the years we have spent together and I look forward to many more! I hope you have a fantastic day sweetheart – both in and out of Azeroth!
I see you!
(the real one)
I am getting old my friends, but I am still in love with WoW as much as I was when I first started. Another year has flown past and I am promising myself that I will get overseas before my next birthday.
Some things I want to be thankful for this birthday year:
- Friends becoming pregnant after many years of trying.
- Finding a new job and having my contract extended.
- Passing my full motorbike license.
- Getting a new car.
- Hubby getting 2 promotions in one year because he is so awesome.
- Spending more time with my camera.
- Finding deeper meaning in my religion.
- Discovering rice pudding.
- Finally nightmares of being raped seemed to have stopped.
- Subscribing to WoW again.
- Discovering and re-connecting with friends.
- One of my doggies no longer being in pain and struggling through each day.
I think that is enough, although I could go on and on but they are the super major ones which spring to mind quickly.
I can’t wait to see what this next year brings me and I hope it continues to be exponentially better. I want to thank you all for being a part of my life and for letting me read about your adventures in Azeroth (and on Earth), you always inspire, indulge and include me and will always be grateful for the friendships I have made through my blogging.
Last night was the 4th birthday of the guild. About 50% of the current raiding base are from the original guild that me, hubby and our best friend set up (or people that joined over 3 years ago). I know I am no longer GM, but I do have a soft spot for a lot of people in the guild. We have been raiding together since BC. That’s a long time 😀
