The depressingly slow path to flying

I just cannot even tell you how much of a struggle it is to log on and find the energy to do these stupidly bad dailies in the new zones. I don’t like to dislike this game because I genuinely love it. I have played since Vanilla because my love outweighs most all things.

This is pushing it though. Jokingly my husband went out at 6.30pm and said to me I will bet you will still be suffering through those when I get back (eta 9.30pm). I started them with Apophis at 6.39ish (let’s not go into overkill) and not a word of a lie, I was just handing in the last part as my husband pulled into the garage. I jumped offline and went and watch Critical Role to cheer myself up.

3 hours to complete Nazjatar and Mechagon. This is why I don’t do dailies as a general rule. It shouldn’t take me that long to get a total of about 20 quests complete. The amount of time spent running/flying between locations – especially with the varied topography is just frustratingly annoying, not including the sheer volume of mobs that seem to live in/near/on the roads.

I seem to be struggling with my reputation gains anyway because my Naz rep is 8800/12000 honoured but my Mech rep is only 4000/12000 and I am doing them both on the same day. I am clearly missing something in Mech and I don’t know what. Anyone else have that difference?

On a positive note, I was pretty excited the other day to find I finally had all the mats to make the lasercat, initially it said I couldn’t because I needed to find someone else – I thought perhaps you had to have engineering, then we found some guy sold the blueprint, so then i could again. It was a rollercoaster of emotions guys 🙂

Michael on the other hand spend all his mats recently on this little guy – I have no idea how or where or which quest, but I am hoping I am doing it somewhere along the line! So here are the 4 of us on our mounts.

Kitties and Spiders oh my!!

So…here is to a few more days of painful dailies in amongst some raiding 🙂 Wish me luck to get through this. I just want to be able to fly, thank Ysera for the jetpacks in Mecha – they make such a difference.

Rise of Azshara

So patch has been out for a couple of weeks now and I am going very slowly through the content. It has been really hard to find the energy to deal with Nazjatar. I dislike the area. In fact, honestly, I cannot think of a zone I have detested more than this one, maybe Suramar city; but that was one section of an entire zone. I have seen a few comments on twitter suggesting once you get flying it is amazing…but I feel the sensation of flying after 11 months would be amazing no matter where it was.

I much prefer mechagon as it seems easier to locate quests and move around on a ground mount.

There are a few spots in both zones where the respawn rates are completely over the top fast and others where you have to battle to the death for 1 creature every few minutes. So I feel there is some minor annoyances with quests and I am hoping I don’t have to do them for too long. I like the bejewelled quests and the string ones – but I have been a lover of puzzle games for a very long time.

We have been running around and questing with Apophis when we can be bothered struggling through them. I really want flying though. The three of us as pirates in Mechagon.

Overall it is nice to have new content for dailies, even if I am still trying to figure out the new essences and necklace stuff. Apophis was saying that his necklace is at 53 or something and I only just hit 50 a couple of nights ago. he has been doing really well keeping up with his dailies and island expeditions. Makes me feel guilty, so I have to fix that.

I am up to the scenario now, which I might try and get done tonight, but we ran Apophis through LFR for Jaina so he could get through the war campaign and maybe we can do the new scenario together at the same time.
